Staff Review: The Vintner’s Daughter – Kristen Harnisch

Vintner's DaughterReviewed by Jen

The Vintner’s Daughter transports us back to the 1800’s and into vineyard life offering a bit of romance, tragedy and an interesting look into the wine-making process during this time so long ago. Kristen Harnish’s research and affection for turn-of-the-century wine making in France and California is evident and beautifully described in this story of a young woman’s battle to hold onto her family’s winery. A bit predictable but fans of historical fiction featuring strong women will find plenty to like here.

Author Kristen Harnisch will be speaking here at the library, Thursday, September 24 at 7pm.
